Designed and manufactured in South Africa, the Geyser Gecko allows homeowners and businesses to significantly reduce electricity consumption by using solar photovoltaic (PV) panels to heat water directly.

Unlike traditional solar water heating systems that require expensive plumbing modifications and solar collector installations, the Geyser Gecko works with your existing geyser. Installation requires no plumbing changes and no replacement of the geyser element, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to upgrade to solar water heating.

Key Features

Converts existing 2kW to 4kW electric geysers into solar-powered water heating systems.

Potential electricity savings of more than 50% on water heating costs.

No plumbing modifications required.

Uses solar PV panels with recommended input up to 1800W.

Automatic switching between solar power and grid electricity.

Smart Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile app control.

Real-time monitoring of temperature and system performance.

Accurate digital temperature sensor included.

Suitable for both grid-tied and off-grid installations.

No routine maintenance required.

Smart Energy Management

The Geyser Gecko intelligently manages available solar energy by converting power from photovoltaic panels into a controlled output suitable for standard geyser elements. When solar energy is insufficient, the system can automatically use mains electricity as a backup, ensuring reliable hot water throughout the year. The controller never feeds power back into the electrical grid, making it a simple and safe water-heating solution.

Mobile App Control

Monitor and control your geyser from anywhere using the Geyser Gecko mobile app. The app allows you to:

View real-time water temperature.

Monitor solar and grid energy usage.

Control operating modes remotely.

Set heating schedules and timers.

Track electricity savings.

Manage multiple geysers from a single account.

Ideal For

Residential homes

Townhouses and apartment complexes

Guesthouses and lodges

Farms and rural properties

Off-grid installations

Small commercial properties

Technical Specifications

Model: Geyser Gecko SG4000

Compatible geyser element size: 2kW–4kW

Recommended solar PV input: 1600W–1800W

Maximum solar PV input: 1800W

Wi-Fi enabled

Digital temperature monitoring

Hybrid solar and AC operation

Supports off-grid operation

Mobile app monitoring and control

Why Choose Geyser Gecko?

The Geyser Gecko is an innovative solar geyser controller that makes solar water heating affordable, practical, and accessible.
